Extra virgin olive oil (INCI: Olea Europaea oil)
Our products are made only with our extra virgin olive oil, labeled “PRINCIPI DI CARTABUBBO“, produced from typical cultivar of our area: Biancolilla, Cerasuola and Nocellara del Belice. It is a perfect blend to obtain an oil rich in polyphenols, which give antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties to the product. The oil has an acidity less than 0.8% of oleic acid, and it is not refined.
Olive fruit extract (INCI: Olea europaea extract)
We patented a process for the preparation of an extract starting from the vegetation water of olive mill and that is from the aqueous fraction which is separated during the process of olive oil extraction. In the aqueous fraction concentrate most of polyphenols in olive fruit. In particular, tyrosol and hydroxytyrosol. These molecules are known to have strong antioxidant properties and therefore preserve the skin from aging phenomena and from damage caused by free radicals, generated even after exposure to UVA and UVB radiation and to pollutants present in the atmosphere. This extract, therefore, prevents skin aging caused by external factors, making it ideal in the formulation of “anti-aging” cosmetic products.
